HAIR CARE TIPS

CUT IT OUT

Embrace the hair cut, even if you are trying to grow out your hair. Frequent trims will freshen up your look, getting rid of dry, damaged hair. Doing this often will prevent further breakage. Even an inch can go a long way!

LET IT DRY AU NATUREL

Resist the urge to towel dry hair. Rubbing a towel through your hair will cause the hair cuticles to rise and will create an unwanted frizzy look. Pat your hair dry and let the air do the rest.

TURN DOWN THE HEAT

Cut back on heat styling tools as much as possible. Overusing hair dryers, flat irons, curling wands, etc., can be very damaging to hair. Frequent use of these heat styling tools on your hair will create split ends and cause breakage, which can be difficult to repair overtime.

CONDITION, CONDITION, CONDITION

Make conditioner a part of your daily routine. Conditioner acts as a smoothing agent to even out the hair cuticle, giving you healthier looking hair. Even though you shouldn’t wash your hair every day, run a pea-size dollop of conditioner through it daily for smoother, silkier looking hair. If your hair is damaged, go a step further and replace the use of conditioner 2-3 times a week with a revitalizing mask.

LET YOUR HAIR DOWN

Give your hair a break, don’t always restrain it with ponytails or braids. Tying your hair up causes pulling and tugging, which puts excessive stress on your sensitive follicles. Doing so on a regular basis can result in breakage and dents in the hair.
