Amway Singapore One By One
Our commitment: caring.
How we do that: by rallying all our resources to support children and improve the way they live, learn and play, helping them achieve their dreams in doing so.
The AMWAY Singapore One by One Campaign for Children reflects our organisation commitment to better the lives of less fortunate children in the community. We work with partners to bring joy and better opportunities to disadvantaged kids through an array of different activities – programmes, donations, financial assitance – or by organising volunteer events to make a positive impact in their lives. Our AMWAY Business Owners (ABOs) are invested in making a difference. Through our volunteer events, they take time and effort from their own business and families to devote it to those who are in less favourable circumstances.
Since 2003, AMWAY has globally provided hope and opportunities to 12,000,000 children, contributing more than 3,500,000 employees’ and ABOs’ volunteer hours to children’s programmes, and donated over US$250 million to children’s causes worldwide.
In Singapore, we rally stakeholders – company, staff, ABOs and customers – to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children. We volunteer, we give, and together we address challenges in the communities where we live and work. Through targeted programmes, the campaign provides children with the resources, nurturing and inspiration they need to live, learn, achieve and play. These programmes encourage self-development and give the children the opportunity to acquire new skills and discover their own interests and talents.
AMWAY has a strong heritage of volunteerism. To make a meaningful difference, the company believes it has to give more than money, and encourages both staff and ABOs to lend time and talent to worthy causes. In Singapore, AMWAY partners various not-for-profit organisations such as the Singapore Children’s Society (SCS), Central Community Development Council and TOUCH Community Services to reach out to disadvantaged children and youths.
This tradition continues in Singapore through regular visits to Sunbeam Place, the Singapore Children’s Society home for abused and neglected children, and through organising outings for children beneficiaries of the Touch Young Arrows Club. During these visits and outings, the children and youths are meaningfully engaged in fun and educational activities with staff and ABOs.
Apart from visits and outings, AMWAY Singapore also organises fundraising events where a portion of proceeds goes to helping and enhancing the lives of children under various children’s organisations. In appreciation of our contributions towards our fundraising efforts, the Singapore Children’s Society has conferred AMWAY Singapore various awards.
